As the founders of Marriage Underdogs™, Chris and Shauntay bring more than just professional expertise as licensed marriage and family therapists—they bring lived experience. Their journey hasn’t been perfect, but it’s been real: from navigating an unexpected teen pregnancy, long-distance seasons, and family challenges to weathering the storms of mental health and communication breakdowns, they've walked through the fire and come out more connected than ever.
Now, two decades into their relationship, they’re opening their hearts and hard-earned wisdom to couples who are ready to deepen their bond, rebuild their trust, and reignite the spark.
As Christians, devoted parents of three, and passionate advocates for love and connection, Chris and Shauntay have made it their mission to show couples what’s possible—even when it feels like the odds are against them. Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, they love exploring new places, laughing with their kids, and spending intentional time together as a family.
